Finding a new job–the right new job–took half a year. Longer than I’d anticipated. I’m very happy to have held out for a strong fit, and I’m looking forward to tackling some exciting new challenges.
One upside of my lengthy search was the photography I indulged in while on employment-related travel. I made visits to two institutions in Washington, and one in Colorado, before taking a position in the city I truly wanted to be in all along–Portland, Oregon.
While the length of the search was cause for some anxiety, I’m happy with how it worked out and I’m glad to have some new photography to share on my site. Now that Portland will be my home base, I’m hoping to dedicate more of my off-hours to honing my photography skills. Here’s to more new adventures in the near future.
